Shipping
What carriers do you use for shipping?
All orders are shipped via UPS.
Can I use a different carrier than UPS if I supply an account number?
No. Right now we are seamlessly set-up with UPS. We feel that this works best for order shipping.
What are my shipping options?
You can choose any of these methods that are available via UPS:
- UPS Ground
- UPS 3 Day SelectSM
- UPS 2nd Day Air®
- UPS Next Day Air®
- UPS Next Day Air Saver®
How soon will my order ship out?
Upon verification of correct credit card information from your bank (usually happens within 1 hour of you placing the order) we try to ship your order out by the end of the next business day. However, there are delays that prohibit us from shipping in less then 2-3 business days.

Returns
What if I need to return and item?
If you plan on returning an item, please e-mail us. This prepares us for the return and allows us to process the return faster. Please send e-mails to admin@braroechess.com
We are here for your consumer satisfaction. As a result here are our policies for several events.
Shipping Damage
If an item is damaged in shipping, we put in a UPS claim and ask the customer to assist us in keeping the box, packing materials etc. Once the claim is filed we will replace the item for the customer.
Defective Item
If an item has a manufacturer defect we will replace or refund. In the case of missing or duplicate chess pieces, we will supply needed pieces at no charge.
Excalibur Electronics
Excalibur Electronics has a 30-day warranty. We will replace any defective item and will send a return label for the damaged item to be returned to us.
Customer Dissatisfaction
If a customer is dissatisfied with an item, they can return it for a full refund. The item must be returned to us in good saleable condition and the customer pays for return shipping. If the item is damaged because of poor packing there will be a 50% restocking fee deducted from the refund.

What steps do you take to safeguard my sensitive information during transmission?
At BraRoe Chess we encode all information with 128-bit Secure Socket Layer Encryption, the highest recommended encryption for e-commerce.
How long is my information saved?
Address information is stores indefinitely. Credit Card information is stored for thirty days from day of sale and then deleted. It is against several policies for us to store it longer, or to print out the information and store it that way.

What methods of payment do you take?
BraRoe Chess accepts Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.
How long will my personal information is stored by you?
Credit card information is stored for 30 days before it is deleted from our servers. Credit card information is never printed for any sort of record keeping. Information such as addresses and phone numbers are stored indefinitely, for tax and general record keeping purposes. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for concerns regarding stored information.
How secure is my information?
All orders are processed through dedicated servers that are controlled by Yahoo! and employ 128-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Encryption. This is currently the highest available security on the internet. Additionally, if you data were ever compromised from a purchase at BraRoe Chess, we will work with your credit card company in order to minimize your inconvenience and expenses. This has never happened with BraRoe Chess.
Do you collect sales tax?
Sales tax is collected for orders that are shipped to addresses in Michigan. This is automatically calculated at the time of checkout.
Is there anything I should keep in kind when choosing an organization for your charity program?
BraRoe Chess reserves the right to deny a customer’s choice of a charity in the event that
the charity is deemed inappropriate. Such inappropriate choices would consist of
(but not exclusive to) groups that promote hate, violence or general ill-will towards
other groups, people, animals, and governments. In the event that a charity is
deemed inappropriate, BraRoe will contact the customer for an alternative choice.
Customers cannot elect to receive $10.00 off from their order in lieu of designating a
charitable organization.
